Following the dividend announcement relating to the dividend for the 2011 financial year of 19 April 2012, Koninklijke Ten Cate nv hereby announces that the number of dividend rights in order to obtain one new ordinary share has been set at 22 dividend rights of ordinary shares with a nominal value of € 2.50 each.

The volume weighted average share price of 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 14 May 2012 was EUR 21.2610 per ordinary share and was used as basis for the determination of 22 dividend rights for 1 new ordinary share.

Sales and operating result

The sales and profit achieved in the first quarter of 2012 are in line with expectations. The comparison with the first quarter of 2011 is not representative, as an exceptionally high level of sales of TenCate Defender ™M was generated last year.

The expectation for 2012 as a whole announced earlier will be maintained, barring unforeseen circumstances.

In the 2012 / 2013 season the premier league club Heracles Almelo will be playing on an innovative synthetic turf pitch from TenCate, which is based on patented weaving technology. This is the first official synthetic turf pitch in which a number of new developments have been combined, resulting in optimum ball and playing performance and full recyclability of the pitch. The club has thus achieved a world first. These technological developments will also be used for the main pitch in the new Heracles Almelo stadium that is to be built.

TenCate has reached an agreement for the strategic acquisition of Performance Materials Corporation Baycomp from Camarillo (California), USA, the American and Canadian specialist company in composite materials moulding and thermoplastic uni-directional tape materials. TenCate Geosynthetics project partner in Yellow River dike monitoring

TenCate Geosynthetics and AGT International have signed a letter of intent for collaboration on the installation of TenCate GeoDetect® technology in a dike body at the Yellow River in Dayulan (Zhengzhou) in the Henan province in China. TenCate GeoDetect® is a monitoring system based on geotextiles with interwoven fibre optics, which registers changes in embankments and dikes. The system will be used in the AGT Flood Early Warning System.
